We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the App.

A. Personal Data

  • Identity Data: Full legal name and official institute email address (@iiserb.ac.in).
  • Demographic Data: Gender, used to ensure safe matches in our Ride-Sharing feature.
  • Academic Data: Course program and batch details.

B. Multimedia Content

We access your device's media gallery only when you manually choose to upload content. This includes:

  • Images for Marketplace (Buy/Sell) and Lost & Found listings.
  • Photos/Videos for Community Posts and Direct Chat attachments.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information for purposes based on legitimate business interests and fulfillment of our services:

  • Verification: To confirm your status as an active member of the institute.
  • Community Engagement: To enable user-to-user interaction, ride-sharing, and marketplace transactions.
  • Safety and Security: To prevent fraud and maintain a trusted campus environment.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

In accordance with Google Play’s Data Safety policy, we provide full control over your data.

  • Retention: We keep your data only as long as your account is active.
  • Deletion Rights: You can delete your account and all associated data at any time via the "Settings > Help & Support > Delete Account" section in the app.
  • Manual Request: You may also request deletion by emailing contact@bluemica.online. We will process these requests within 30 days.

5. Disclosure of Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information with third parties for marketing purposes. We only share information with:

  • Other Users: Your name and profile details are visible to other verified members to facilitate community features.
  • Legal Obligations: If required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

6. Children’s Privacy

Our services are not intended for individuals under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we learn such data has been collected, we will delete it immediately.

7. Policy Updates

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Revised" date and will be effective as soon as it is accessible.
